Today, 30 March, Guido Gybels, the Director of New Technologies at RNID, gave a speech before an audience of senior civil servants, designers, service providers and journalists about the delivery of eGovernment services and their impact on society from an accessibility point of view. Mr Gybels pointed out that building services in an accessible and usable way is not just of benefit to people with disabilities, but in actual fact will help all users in accessing them. In addition, well designed, accessible services have lower overall costs and reduce support needs significantly. The full text of the speech can be found here.
