RNID is organising a conference on "Access to the Information Society for deaf, hard of hearing and speech-impaired people" in Brussels on 25 February 2004. Major speakers and attendees from all over Europe, including Erkki Liikanen, European Commissioner for Enterprise and the Information Society, will discuss the problems and potential solutions to open up the Information Society for all deaf, hard of hearing and speech-impaired people and to start removing some of the barriers to opportunity and fulfilment.
