The RNID Mobile Textphone software for the Nokia Communicators 9210 and 9210i was an interim solution while a more longterm and device independent solution like TalkByText Mobile Edition was developed. This software uses a GSM data channel. However, in order for this software to work, it is not enough to install it on your mobile phone. Your network provider needs to support the service and your SIM card must be provisioned for the service.
Note: the 9210(i) textphone application will only work on the 9210 or 9210i Communicators. This application has now been replaced by a next generation, IP based solution called TalkByText Mobile Edition.
The Mobile Textphone software for the Nokia 9210(i) is no longer available on the market. Vodafone has assured RNID that it still supports its existing users. See the Vodafone website for more details.
Because this software can only be used on a network that actively supports it, the software is not available online and will not be given directly to phone users.
